Welcome!
Hello! My name is Tre DiPassio, and I am currently a Principal Research Engineer at HARMAN International. I am working in HARMAN’s HALOsonic division, conducting research in the fields of audio signal processing, active noise cancellation, and acoustics. I successfully defended my PhD thesis entitled "Interacting with Smart Audio Devices using Induced Structural Vibrations" in June of 2023. Following my PhD, I served as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Rochester, where I continued my research in audio signal processing and vibro-acoustics, and also taught a senior design course. I remain passionate about audio education and project-based learning. I am also a Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) alum, where I earned a Bachelors and Masters in Electrical Engineering (Image and Signal Processing) from 2013-2018.
